Air India operated a delivery flight AI1114, which took off from Toulouse-Blagnac Airport (TLS) at 2:34 PM UTC (8:04 PM IST). After being airborne for around eight hours and 17 minutes and covering a distance of 6,784 Kilometers, the flight landed safely at Delhi International Airport (DEL) at 10:51 PM UTC (4:21 PM IST).

Air India Group owns the aircraft and has a Y186 seat configuration, which means all economy class seats are similar to IndiGo Airlines (6E) planes. But it will be retrofitted in three class configurations which include 132 Economy seats, 24 Premium Economy seats, and Eight Business Class Seats.

The aircraft bears a registration VT-RTN, which is a tribute to 86-year-old former Tata Group and Tata Sons Chairman Ratan Tata. CFM International LEAP-1A powers Air India’s brand new A320neo aircraft.

The A320neo has set the standard as the world’s most comfortable short-to-medium-haul aircraft, typically accommodating 140 to 170 passengers, with a maximum capacity of up to 180 travelers.

A320neo’s environmental performance includes at least 20 percent less fuel burn and CO2 emissions and a 50 percent reduction in noise footprint compared to previous-generation aircraft.
