DELHI- An Air India (AI) flight from Delhi (DEL) to London Heathrow (LHR) made an unscheduled landing in Copenhagen (CPH), Denmark on Sunday, October 6, 2024, due to a passenger’s medical emergency.

Flight AI-111 diverted to ensure immediate medical attention for the ailing traveler.

Air India Delhi to London Flight

The crew decided to land at the nearest suitable airport, which happened to be Copenhagen. Upon arrival, the passenger was swiftly deplaned and transported to a local hospital for urgent care.

An Air India spokesperson confirmed the incident, stating that the diversion occurred in response to a guest’s complaints of illness. The airline’s ground staff at Copenhagen Airport worked to minimize inconvenience to other passengers during the unexpected stop.

Following the medical intervention, the flight resumed its journey to London. Air India emphasized that the safety and well-being of passengers and crew remain their top priority.
