Air Canada Delhi-Toronto Bomb Threat

According to Delhi Police, a false email stating a bomb inside an Air Canada DEL-YYZ flight was received. As of now, no suspicious object has been found.

Delhi Police in a statement to ANI said,

“At 10:50 PM on June 4, Delhi International Airport Limited received an email threatening a bomb on an Air Canada flight scheduled to depart for Toronto. Following standard security protocols, a thorough inspection was carried out, and no suspicious items were found. Legal action is currently underway.”

Following this, the AC43 flight was canceled and it is expected to take off today (June 5, 2024).

Last month, the  Air Canada flight operated by 777, registered as C-FIUA heading to Delhi, India, was unexpectedly forced to return to Toronto due to an engine issue that occurred shortly after takeoff.

This incident led to the aircraft’s engine being shut down as a safety precaution, ultimately prompting the pilot to request a priority landing back at Toronto Pearson International Airport.

Earlier this month, the Vistara Airlines flight from Paris (CDG) to Mumbai (BOM) received a bomb threat.

According to Aviation A2Z source, the security authorities and personnel at  Mumbai Airport were alerted. After the aircraft touched down in  Mumbai, it was taken to the isolation bay for inspection.

The flight UK24 is operated by Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. On June 2, the two years and 8 months old VT-TSO served the route.

On June 1, IndiGo Airlines Chennai-Mumbai flight 6E5314 received a hoax note in the lavatory mentioning a bomb, which was discovered by the crew.

There is a significant rise in such hoax calls and messages. Such a message disrupts flight operations and is a punishable offense.

So don’t ever joke about this or speak a b*mb word in flight because on a Vistara flight, two women joked about it and they were removed from the flight and a case was registered against them.
