Air Canada Schedules A330, 777 for Las Vegas, Miami and Phoenix

TORONTO- Flag carrier Air Canada (AC) is planning to deploy Airbus A330 and Boeing 777 for its flights to US cities including, Las Vegas (LAS), Miami (MIA) and Phoenix (PHX) during winter.

Earlier this week, the Montreal-based carrier announced that it will serve 55 destinations in Caribbean and the US. This also includes new routes and flights, which we will discuss later in this post.

Air Canada (AC) is planning to deploy Airbus A330 and Boeing 777 for its flights to US cities including, Las Vegas (LAS), Miami (MIA) and Phoenix (PHX) during winter.

Air Canada 777 and A330 to US

Air Canada has released its updated winter schedule for U.S. routes, featuring widebody aircraft and is reported by Ishrion Aviation:

  • Miami (MIA): The 777-200LR will operate four times weekly from Toronto (YYZ) between October 27 and December 31.
  • Phoenix (PHX): The A330-300 will serve the route from Toronto (YYZ).
  • Las Vegas (LAS): The A330-300 will operate from both Toronto (YYZ) and Montreal (YUL).

Additionally, routes FLL-YUL/YYZ and MCO-YYZ will continue with A330s, while LAX-YUL/YYZ will be serviced by Boeing 787 Dreamliners.

Caribbean and US Destinations for Winter

Air Canada has announced enhancements to its 2024-25 winter sun network, introducing new routes and increasing flight frequencies. Key updates include:

  • New routes from Ottawa and Quebec City to Tulum.
  • A new route from Montreal to St Maarten.
  • Additional flights from Halifax, Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver to popular vacation spots in Florida and the Caribbean.

This winter, Air Canada plans to operate up to 50 daily flights from Canada, serving a total of 55 Caribbean and US sun destinations.

“Air Canada continues to expand its winter leisure network by adding new routes to in-demand destinations, including Saint Maarten and Tulum,” said Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President, Revenue and Network Planning at Air Canada.

Air Canada and Air Canada Vacations will provide numerous travel options and increased frequencies from airports across Canada, making it easier for customers to reach popular winter sun destinations.

These flights are now available for sale, allowing customers to plan their winter vacations early. Air Canada looks forward to welcoming passengers onboard.

New Flights from Quebec City

Air Canada has announced the launch of new weekly flights from Québec City to Tulum, Mexico’s newest airport in the Yucatan Peninsula, starting December 13, 2024.

The airline will also resume non-stop services from Québec City for winter 2024-25 to popular sun destinations including Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Punta Cana, and Cancun.

“We are excited to launch non-stop flights from Québec City to Tulum, offering convenient access to Mexico’s Mayan Riviera,” said Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President, Revenue and Network Planning.
