Air India Establishing New Software Development Centres in San Francisco, Gurgaon, and Kochi

GURUGRAM- Tata-owned Air India (AI) is establishing software development centers in San Francisco, Gurgaon, and Kochi. The objective is to develop various software solutions internally rather than relying on external purchases.

The emergence of IT parks at different locations will prompt the construction of IT buildings through private investment, exemplified by the Caspian Tower.

Air India Software Development Centres

Air India acquired Caspian Tower 1 from the Mukkadans Group in Infopark in Kochi. This acquisition is intended for a technology company to produce software products specifically for the airline. Spanning an area of 1.38 lakh square feet, the tower boasts a seating capacity of 1200 people, reported Manorama.

The Mukkadans Group is currently developing three towers known as the Caspian Tech Park. With Air India’s acquisition of the first tower, construction of the second tower has commenced, covering an area of one lakh square feet.

Both towers, classified as A+ premium grade, stand 12 storeys tall. The Caspian Tech Park is situated on land leased from Infopark.

New Customer Care Centres

Apart from this, Air India has established five new contact centers to provide round-the-clock assistance to its customers worldwide.

Collaborating with Concentrix, a customer engagement firm headquartered in California, Air India has entrusted the management of premium services to centers located in Mumbai, Cairo, and Kuala Lumpur.

Further, the airline has partnered with iEnergizer to operate contact centers in Noida and Bengaluru, focusing primarily on handling domestic inquiries.

Recently, Air India launched its revamped website and the airline industry’s pioneering Generative AI chatbot, AI.g. This chatbot offers seamless accessibility on the website and WhatsApp, introducing a new avenue for guest support. It enables travelers to inquire about over 1300 travel-related topics, further enhancing their experience.
