Competition from 4 Carriers

Well, we don’t have the exact data on seats deployed on the BOM-KWI route but we have details on airlines that serve this sector.

Currently, two Indian and two Kuwait-based carriers serve this route. They are Air India Express (IX), IndiGo (6E), Jazeera Airways (J9), and Kuwait Airways (KU).

Out of this, Air India Express and Kuwait Airways operate daily flights respectively. While IndiGo and Jazzera operate 3X weekly flights. The route is mainly served by A320s and 737s but Kuwait Airways sometimes deploys Boeing 777 on its second daily flight.

Well, Akasa Air’s daily flight will complement the IX and KU daily flights. But Air India Express provides the most budget-friendly fare but Akasa Air flight comes second and third in terms of one-way flight.

Akasa Air is expected to face strong competition but it can pull this off as it operates new planes and provides better service than its competitors.
