LOS ANGELES- Seattle–Tacoma-based carrier, Alaska Airlines (AS) is launching new flights from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to two new destinations in Mexico, which includes La Paz (LAP) and Monterrey (MTY).
With these flights, the Alaska Airlines will become only carrier in the United States (US) to serve these routes in Mexico.

Starting tomorrow (July 3, 2024), Alaska Airlines passengers can book tickets for these new breathtaking winter destinations.

80-years-old carrier is the number 1 airline from US in terms of number of flights, seats and nonstop routes to Mexico from the West Coast.
The new nonstop service to LAP and MTY from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) allows guests to effortlessly connect from various cities across the network.
From its hub at LAX, the airline continues to offer the most flights to the most destinations across Latin America and the Caribbean compared to any other carrier, with an average of nearly 16 daily departures to 15 cities throughout the region this winter.
Here’s the flight details:
Los Angeles to La Paz:
- Start Date: November 20, 2024
- Frequency: 2-3 times weekly
Los Angeles to Monterrey:
- Start Date: February 13, 2025
- Frequency: Daily
Furthermore, Alaska Airlines will use Embraer E175 aircraft to serve both routes.

The airline is adding daily service from Los Angeles to Monterrey, Mexico’s second-largest metro area. This popular destination features the dramatic peaks of the Sierra Madre Oriental Mountain range and a vibrant food scene, including several Michelin-starred restaurants.
