American Airlines Restarts Chicago-Dublin Flight with 787s | Exclusive

CHICAGO- Fort Worth-based American Airlines (AA) has resumed its seasonal flights between Chicago O’Hare (ORD) and Dublin Airport (DUB) from June 5, 2024.

The US carrier will deploy the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner which is fitted with Flagship Business Class, Premium Economy, Main Cabin Extra, and Economy as usual to serve this seasonal route.

American Airlines Resumes Chicago-Dublin Flight

The Texas-based carrier will operate daily flights between Chicago and Dublin and here is the flight schedule:

  • AA208: Departs ORD at 22:10, and arrives in DUB at 11:40 the next day (operated by 787 Dreamliner, daily).
  • AA209: Departs DUB at 09:30, and arrives in ORD at 11:45 (operated by 787 Dreamliner, daily).

With the launch of the ORD-DUB route, the Dublin Airport now serves 4 cities in the USA, which include Philadelphia (PHL), Dallas (DFW), Charlotte (CLT), and certainly the Chicago (ORD).

American Airlines and Aer Lingus (EI) have a codeshare agreement that helps Irish passengers book a flight to American destinations hassle-free.

Aer Lingus customers can also book connecting flights with American Airlines to destinations including Albuquerque, New Mexico (ABQ); Nashville, Tennessee (BNA); Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW); Las Vegas (LAS); Kansas City (MCI); Portland, Oregon (PDX); San Jose, California (SJC); Tampa, Florida (TPA); and Tucson, Arizona (TUS).

With the help of codeshare the Aer Lingus operates 19 transatlantic routes from Dublin and Shannon in 2024, along with an additional three transatlantic routes from Manchester, UK to North America and the Caribbean.

New European Destination

Earlier this month, AA launched its inaugural flight from Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) to Copenhagen, Denmark (CPH).

This new service to Copenhagen is the last of three new transatlantic routes, following the launches to Nice, France, and Naples, Italy, earlier this summer.

The new service to Copenhagen (CPH) will operate daily from Philadelphia (PHL). Additionally, the airline inaugurated service to Naples, Italy, on June 5, and Nice, France, on May 6.

This summer, American Airlines will offer more than a dozen nonstop flights to 14 European destinations, providing customers with direct access to Europe’s rich culture and history.
