FORT WORTH- American Airlines (AA) is set to fly to and from all 50 states in United States of America (USA) as it schedules new flights to Wilmington, Delaware (ILG).
This is for the first time that American Airlines will serve all 50 U.S. states. However, some suggests that Chicago-based United Airlines (UA) held the title of the first carrier to achieve this milestone back in 1980s, precisely in 1984.
American Airlines Fly to 50 States
According to Ishrion Aviation, on May 20, 2025, American Airlines will make history by becoming the first airline to offer flights to all 50 U.S. states—for just one day. American will operate flights to Wilmington, Delaware (ILG) from:
- Philadelphia (PHL)
- Miami (MIA)
These flights will be operated with the Bombardier CRJ-700 aircraft.
American Airlines will soon launch ILG-PHL service with Landline buses and but now added flights to MIA/PHL with the CRJ-700 on May 20.
Flight Schedule:
- AA6480: Depart MIA at 8:30 AM, Arrive ILG at 11:30 AM
- AA6480: Depart ILG at 1:00 PM, Arrive MIA at 4:00 PM
- AA6475: Depart PHL at 12:00 PM, Arrive ILG at 12:55 PM
- AA6475: Depart ILG at 1:25 PM, Arrive PHL at 2:20 PM
Cancelling Miami-Pereira Flights
American Airlines will cancel its Miami (MIA) to Pereira (PEI), Colombia route after October 6. This route, launched in December 2018, will no longer be available.
The Fort-Worth based carrier operates MIA-PEI flight AA1135 with Airbus A319 aircraft.
Contrary to previous reports by Ishrion Aviation, PEI has not lost all U.S. service, as Avianca Airlines (AV) New York (JFK) flights continue to operate.
