British Airways A320 Steering Issues

The British Airways Airbus A320-200 successfully touched down at London Heathrow and slowed down to taxi speed. However, as the plane attempted to turn off the runway via a high-speed turn-off, smoke was first noticed from the left and right main tires.

The aircraft came to a stop within the runway edges but off the center line of the turn-off. Due to the malfunction, several subsequent approaching flights were instructed to go around, according to the Aviation Herald.

A passenger on board reported that the captain announced the nose wheel steering had stopped working, prompting emergency services to respond promptly.
