British Airways’ new business class club suites were first unveiled in 2019. The rollout of these new suites began with the delivery of Airbus A350 aircraft. So Airbus A350-1000 and Boeing 787-10 are line-fitted with these new club suites.

From 2020, the airline has begun retrofitting its other long-haul aircraft which includes, Airbus A380, Boeing 777-200, 777-200ER, 777-300, 787-8, and 787-9.

Twelve 787-8 with New Suites

As of 20 June 2024, the British national carrier has completed the retrofitting of 12 787-8 Dreamliners with new Club Suites.

Aircraft registration G-ZBJA now includes 31 Club Suites arranged in a 1-2-1 layout. The odd number arises because row 5 has only one seat due to the location of the galley and toilets.

The Club Suite features a sliding privacy door, a 79-inch fully flat bed, 40% more storage than the previous seat, an in-flight entertainment screen measuring between 17 and 18.5 inches depending on the aircraft, and PC/USB power ports.

World Traveller Plus will feature new furnishings, including a new pillow, warm quilt, and amenity kit. The A350 aircraft will also have wifi throughout.

BA states that the new product will be introduced “through a carefully managed program designed to minimize disruption to customers.”
