What is Fast Track Immigration – Trusted Traveller Programme

The Fast Track Immigration-Trusted Traveller Programme (FTI-TTP) is a government initiative designed to give Indian nationals and OCI cardholders a faster, easier, and more secure travel experience.

Eligible individuals must first apply online. After applying, they need to submit their biometrics (fingerprint and facial image) along with other required information as specified in the application form.

Once approved, applicants will receive a message to schedule an appointment for their biometric submission.

Applicants should ensure their passports have at least six months of validity when applying for the Fast Track Immigration – Trusted Traveller Programme (FTI-TTP). The registration remains valid for up to five years or until the passport expires, whichever comes first.

The FTI-TTP facility aims to reduce airport congestion by providing faster immigration clearance for pre-verified travelers, both arriving and departing.

Future of FTI-TTP

Delhi Airport’s Terminal 3 has eight electronic gates. Four for arrivals and four for departures. To provide a seamless experience for eligible travellers. The program uses e-gates or automated border gates to minimize human intervention in the immigration clearance process.

It will be implemented in two phases: the first phase covers Indian citizens and OCI cardholders, and the second phase will include foreign travelers.

FTI-TTP will launch at 21 major airports across the country. In the first phase, it will roll out at Delhi Airport and seven other major airports: Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kochi, and Ahmedabad, according to an official statement.
