Delta New York Prague Flight

Delta Air Lines has consistently operated these flights between Prague and the American metropolis since June 19, 2009, with interruptions occurring solely in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The first flight after winter break was operated by Delta Boeing 767 registered as N172DN, which is a 34-year-old aircraft.

Jiří Pos, Chairman of the Prague Airport Board of Directors, expressed satisfaction with Delta Air Lines’ continuous provision of direct connections between Prague and New York over the past 15 years.

During its operational tenure in Prague, the American carrier has facilitated 5,900 flights and transported 1,119,000 passengers.

Pos highlighted the significance of the United States market, which accounted for over half a million passengers handled last year, including connecting flights.

Notably, the first quarter of this year witnessed a 17 percent growth in this segment, indicating prospects for further expansion in direct flight capacities between Prague and the USA.

Thomas Brandt, Regional Manager Sales Central & Eastern Europe at Delta Air Lines, expressed enthusiasm for resuming the nonstop route from Prague to New York-JFK for the summer season.

Emphasizing its importance as the sole direct connection to North America, Brandt noted its significance for business travelers, visitors reuniting with friends and family, and tourists exploring both America and the Czech Republic.
