The agreement enhances connectivity between the United States and the Middle East. Delta passengers gain access to nine destinations beyond Saudia’s Jeddah (JED) and Riyadh (RUH) hubs. Conversely, Saudia guests can reach 12 U.S. destinations beyond Delta’s New York JFK and Los Angeles (LAX) hubs.

This partnership aims to improve travel experiences for both airlines’ customers, serving tourism and business sectors. As SkyTeam alliance members, Delta and Saudia offer reciprocal frequent flyer benefits.

Passengers can earn and redeem miles on both airlines, while SkyTeam Elite Plus members enjoy Sky Priority services.

Perry Cantarutti, Delta’s Senior Vice President of Alliances, emphasizes the strategic importance of Saudia’s expanding Jeddah hub and extensive network.

He states that strengthening this partnership addresses customer demand for increased travel options between the Gulf region and North America.

Arved Von Zur Muehlen, Chief Commercial Officer at Saudia, emphasized the agreement’s importance in providing seamless travel experiences and offering more options to Saudia’s passengers.

The partnership aims to boost the local tourism sector in Saudi Arabia, enabling international visitors to explore the Kingdom’s diverse attractions.
