easyJet Adds 60 New Routes for Winter 2024

LUTON- easyJet (U2) has announced its largest release of new routes, with 60 new routes now available for booking, including 33 launching from 11 UK airports this winter.

This release features a new winter service to Tromso, Norway, with departures from London Gatwick, Bristol, and Manchester. Additionally, a year-round service from London Gatwick to Strasbourg, a new French destination for the airline, is included.

easyJet 60 New Routes

Twice-weekly flights to Tromso will commence on 11 November from London Gatwick, departing on Mondays and Fridays; from Manchester on 19 November, departing on Tuesdays and Saturdays; and from Bristol on 5 December, departing on Thursdays and Sundays throughout the winter.

These flights enable customers to plan an Arctic adventure in one of the best places to see the Northern Lights.

Flights from London Gatwick to Strasbourg will operate three times a week on Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays year-round, providing customers with options for a week or weekend break to explore this historic French city.

The airline has launched three new routes from London Luton to Athens and Basel, both starting on 7 November and Djerba in Tunisia, starting on 11 November. The Athens route will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, complementing the airline’s existing four UK routes to Athens, and serving as a gateway to the beautiful Greek islands year-round.

The Basel route will operate four times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, while the Djerba route will operate year-round on Mondays and Fridays.

Additionally, a new route to Djerba will launch from Manchester on 11 November, operating year-round on Mondays and Fridays, alongside a year-round route from Manchester to Zurich, which will operate four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays starting 4 November.

easyJet has also announced its second route to Akureyri in Northern Iceland from Manchester, starting on 12 November and operating throughout winter on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

easyJet is the only airline offering direct routes from the UK to Northern Iceland, with a twice-weekly route from London Gatwick launched last year, providing customers with more options to explore Iceland’s Northern winter wonderland.

Strengthening Birmingham Base and Glasglow

easyJet’s new base in Birmingham has already launched 16 new routes this year, and now the airline has announced five more routes to meet the demand from customers in the Midlands.

Year-round routes from Birmingham to Prague and Marrakech will start on 13 November and 1 December, respectively, operating on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Winter routes from Birmingham to Krakow will begin on 15 November, operating on Mondays and Fridays; to Reykjavik from 3 December, operating on Tuesdays and Saturdays; and to Innsbruck, starting from 15 December, operating once a week on Sundays.

A new route from Bristol to Agadir will launch on 27 October, operating three times a week on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Another new route from Bristol to Istanbul will start on 4 November, operating twice a week on Mondays and Fridays, both year-round.

From Liverpool, easyJet has announced five new year-round routes: three times a week to Prague from 28 October, twice a week to Marrakech from 13 November, twice a week to Malta from 10 December, twice a week to Berlin from 14 February, and once a week to Fuerteventura from 19 February.

easyJet is also expanding its Glasgow network with three new winter sun destinations. Flights from Glasgow to Lanzarote will operate twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays from 27 October to Fuerteventura twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 30 October and to Marrakech twice a week on Mondays and Fridays from 11 November.

A year-round city route to Prague will also launch, operating twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays from 7 November. Additionally, customers in Scotland can now fly year-round from Edinburgh to Agadir on Wednesdays and Saturdays starting from 6 November 2024.

Northern Ireland Routes

Customers in Northern Ireland will benefit from a new winter route to Fuerteventura starting on 28 October, operating on Mondays and Fridays. Additionally, a new year-round route from Belfast International to Prague will launch on 2 November, with flights twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Flights to Marrakech from Belfast International will resume on 3 November, operating throughout winter on Wednesdays and Sundays.

In January and February 2025, easyJet will introduce routes from Leeds to Geneva starting on 18 January and from Newcastle to Lyon starting on 4 January, providing convenient connections for customers in the North for their winter ski holidays. From Newcastle, a new year-round route to Paris will begin on 27 October, operating six days a week.

With these new routes, thousands more package holidays are now available via easyJet holidays for winter 2024.
