Malta, known for its beautiful coastlines, crystal clear waters, and over 3,000 hours of sunshine a year, is an archipelago in the heart of the Mediterranean. It offers a wealth of opportunities for cultural getaways, relaxing beach breaks, and scuba diving adventures.

Package holidays to Malta can also be booked through easyJet holidays. Options include all-inclusive resorts like the 4* db San Antonio Hotel and Spa, which offers a range of family-friendly facilities, and adults-only luxury at the 4* Seaview Hotel in St. Paul’s Bay, featuring panoramic sea views, a rooftop infinity pool, and a variety of à la carte restaurants.

Ali Gayward, easyJet’s Malta Country manager, expressed enthusiasm about the new route, stating:

“We are thrilled to introduce another new route from Liverpool to Malta, offering our customers in the North West increased options and connectivity to Europe’s top holiday destinations. With affordable fares and friendly service, we eagerly anticipate welcoming passengers on board.”

“We are pleased to introduce this new service to Malta with easyJet—a destination that we know is favored by holidaymakers from the Liverpool City Region and beyond.”

“Currently, only 9% of all flights to Malta from the North West depart from Liverpool. This route has substantial potential for growth, allowing more passengers from across the North West to enjoy the advantages of flying to Malta from Liverpool for their holidays.”

easyJet currently has seven aircraft based at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, catering to approximately 2 million passengers annually. The airline operates up to 340 flights per week to 27 destinations.

New Maintenance Facility

easyJet and SR Technics have finalized an agreement for the airline to acquire the SR Technics maintenance facility in Malta.

The signing ceremony, attended by Prime Minister Dr. Robert Abela, took place today at the maintenance hangar, marking the handover of the facility to easyJet.

easyJet will now conduct heavy maintenance on its expanding fleet of over 340 aircraft and integrate the facility’s workforce of more than 400 employees into the easyJet Group. The six-bay aircraft maintenance facility has been providing heavy maintenance for easyJet’s fleet for several years.
