Emirates Fly A 101-year-old Lady Passenger in First Class

DUBAI- UAE’s flag carrier Emirates Airlines (EK) welcomed 101-year-old seasoned traveler Rachida Smati on board its flight from Dubai (DXB) to Algiers (ALG) this past weekend.

In appreciation of their well-traveled customer and to ensure a comfortable journey, the airline upgraded Rachida to First Class. She was greeted by a dedicated team, fast-tracked through the airport, and given access to the First-Class lounge for a relaxing experience before her flight.

Emirates Fly A 101-year-old Passenger

An Algerian national, Rachida visited Algiers after spending time with friends and family in Dubai. This was her third visit to the city, which she counts among her favorites due to its accessibility, high standards of medical care, and vibrant attractions.

Rachida plans to continue flying with Emirates, her preferred airline, for future visits.

Rachida expressed her gratitude for the seamless travel experience facilitated by the Emirates teams at every touchpoint: “I had a great experience on my Emirates flight to Dubai. The cabin crew were very kind and helpful. I’m looking forward to flying back to Algiers aboard Emirates and experiencing First Class. I’m ever so grateful for the warm welcome from all the teams.”

Born in Algeria in 1923, Rachida’s first flight was to Paris at 21 years old. She remains an avid traveler and loves flying with Emirates for its signature onboard experience, exceptional service, and unwavering focus on customer comfort both on the ground and in the air.
