The airline’s connection with India began on September 26, 2004, with its inaugural flight to Mumbai. Since then, Etihad has expanded its Indian network to include nonstop services to 11 cities, with plans for further growth.

This expansion aligns with Etihad’s goal to connect Indian travelers to Abu Dhabi and its global network, facilitating visits to family, educational pursuits, and business engagements worldwide.

Etihad recently launched a Hindi website, becoming the first international airline operating in India to offer this language option. This move aims to improve accessibility and cater to the preferences of its Indian customer base.

The airline’s commitment to the Indian market extends beyond air travel. Etihad has embraced India’s cricket culture through its sponsorship of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

Furthermore, its partnership with Bollywood star Katrina Kaif as brand ambassador has strengthened its presence in the region, featuring a series of promotional videos across social media platforms.
