ISTANBUL- A FedEx (FX) Boeing 767, registered as N110FE, had a nerve-wracking landing at Istanbul-Intl Airport (LTFM), Turkey, when its nosegear failed to extend during approach.

The 10-year-old plane, which had earlier flown from Paris’s Charles De Gaulle Airport (CDG) under flight number FX6238, reported issues with its landing gear, leading to a dramatic nose-up landing.

FedEx 767 NoseUp Landing

The incident occurred when the 2014-built FedEx Boeing 767-300SF freighter approached Istanbul International Airport (IST) on May 8.

The pilots encountered difficulties extending the nose landing gear, forcing them to make a critical decision during the landing process.

Despite the challenge, the skilled pilots brought the aircraft down on its nose on runway 16R at Istanbul Airport.

However, as the nosegear failed to deploy, luckily, the plane stopped at the runway, sustaining unknown damage.
