AME – Trainee (A&C)

InterGlobe Aviation Ltd, the parent company of IndiGo Airlines, is seeking highly skilled and motivated individuals for the position of Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) Trainee in the Airframe and Components (A&C) department.

As an AME Trainee, you will play a crucial role in maintaining 6E fleet’s airworthiness and ensuring the highest standards of safety and reliability. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development within the aviation industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain a current AME license
  2. Adhere to safety responsibilities and accountabilities as outlined in the IndiGo SMS Manual
  3. Participate in required training and refresher courses

  5. Monitor aircraft movements and ensure high technical dispatch rates
  6. Provide guidance to technicians on maintenance activities, emphasizing quality and safety

Eligibility Criteria/Educational Qualifications:

  • 10+2 education
  • AME Diploma (Aircraft Maintenance Engineer)

Certifications:

  • CAT A or CAT B1 license (Mandatory)

Work Experience (One of the following):

  • 3 years as a Technician on A320/ATR aircraft
  • More than 2 years as certifying staff in General Aviation

Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – A & C

Job Description: As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) or Senior AME with full scope authorization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the airworthiness, safety, and reliability of 6E aircraft fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain a current and valid AME license and authorization for relevant aircraft types, engines, and systems
  2. Perform inspections and certify maintenance work on airframe and power plant systems and components
  3. Ensure all maintenance work adheres to manufacturer requirements and recommendations
  4. Use approved methods, tooling, procedures, and materials for all maintenance tasks
  5. Complete and certify work orders and inspection schedules before issuing Certificate of Release to Service (CRS)
  6. Rectify snags reported by flight crew or observed during inspections, addressing major defects promptly
  7. Ensure proper calibration and serviceability of tools and equipment used in maintenance
  8. Verify the use of approved materials and parts with proper documentation and certification
  9. Follow safety procedures when handling equipment, tools, and servicing aircraft or components
  10. Report defects to Maintenance Control Center (MCC) or Shift-In charge as necessary
  11. Mentor technicians and ensure they are familiar with Quality Assurance Notices (QAN), Ground Instruction Circulars (GIC), and other technical instructions
  12. Implement safety policies and the safety management system within IndiGo Engineering

  • 10+2 education
  • AME Diploma (Aircraft Maintenance Engineer)

Certifications (Mandatory):

  • CAT A or CAT B1 license
  • Authorizations: Transit, Weekly, and Full scope

Work Experience:

  • AME: 3 years or more certifying experience on A320/ATR aircraft
