This new service strengthens JetBlue’s presence in the New York Metro area, complementing its current operations at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), LaGuardia Airport (LGA), and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR).

“Long Island is a vital part of the New York Metro area, and we are excited to bring our award-winning service to this community,” said Dave Jehn, JetBlue’s vice president of network planning and airline partnerships.

Adding Long Island MacArthur Airport to our network offers more options and greater convenience for customers, allowing more Long Islanders to experience our unique blend of low fares and excellent service.”

“Long Island has long embraced JetBlue, and we are thrilled to begin this new partnership,” said Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter.

Our airport is a major economic asset, and JetBlue’s success at ISP will enrich our community and beyond. We eagerly await welcoming visitors to New York via ISP, Long Island’s hometown airport.”

Shelley LaRose-Arken, Long Island MacArthur Airport commissioner, added, “We have worked diligently to provide Long Island travelers with more nonstop destinations. Our hometown airport offers convenience, efficient security, and a stress-free travel experience. Long Islanders have anticipated JetBlue’s arrival for 24 years, and this is a significant day for our community and MacArthur Airport.”

Senator Charles Schumer of New York stated, “With JetBlue soon beginning flights from Islip to Orlando, Palm Beach, and Fort Lauderdale, more Long Islanders will utilize MacArthur Airport. I have long advocated for JetBlue’s service at LI MacArthur because increased travel options are essential for a vibrant Long Island economy. Under the leadership of Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and Airport Commissioner Shelley LaRose-Arken, the airport has achieved great success. I will continue working with them to secure federal funding for improvements and to attract more services. I commend JetBlue for their decision and will work with all stakeholders to make MacArthur Airport a thriving economic engine and a world-class transportation hub.”
