David Jehn, JetBlue’s vice president of network planning and airline partnerships, said, “As the only airline offering direct service from New York’s JFK to Tulum, we are excited to provide our customers with our award-winning service, low fares, and an additional travel option to the Mexican Caribbean. JetBlue began service to Mexico over 17 years ago with flights from New York to Cancun, and we’re proud to expand our presence in Mexico.”

Andrés Martínez Reynoso, Director of the Quintana Roo Tourism Board, commented, “JetBlue has been instrumental in connecting travelers from the United States to the Mexican Caribbean with direct flights to Cancun. We are thrilled to see this partnership grow with JetBlue’s new daily nonstop service from New York JFK to Tulum. Tulum, known for its serene beaches, eco-friendly living, and rich Mayan history, will now be more accessible, along with points of interest further south along the Grand Costa Maya. We look forward to welcoming New Yorkers and other travelers through JFK to this new chapter in the Mexican Caribbean.”

Located southwest of Playa del Carmen and Cancun, Tulum has become a popular destination for its health-centric resorts, captivating archaeological sites, and natural sinkholes.

Other Mexican Routes

The new Tulum service builds on the success of JetBlue’s extensive offerings from nearby Cancun.

JetBlue initially launched service to Mexico with flights from New York’s JFK to Cancun and has since expanded to include routes from Boston, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Tampa, Newark, and Raleigh/Durham.

Additionally, JetBlue recently announced nonstop service from San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Cancun. In Mexico, JetBlue also serves Los Cabos, with flights from New York’s JFK and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

“We’re thrilled to begin service to Tulum today, giving our JetBlue Vacations customers even more options to explore Mexico,” said Andres Barry, president of JetBlue Travel Products.

Mexico remains a popular destination for vacation packages due to its diverse offerings. Expanding our Insider Experience program to Tulum was a natural step, given its popularity and positive feedback in Cancun. The Insider Experience provides in-person problem-solving and concierge services, adding value to our bundled vacation packages and ensuring customers get more than they pay for.”
