The German carrier is deploying these two brand new A350s named Leipzig and Krefeld on Canadian routes. Lufthansa flies non-stop flights from Munich (MUC) to Toronto (YYZ) and Vancouver (YVR).

In two months the Lufthansa Airline has operated 160 flights and carried 38,000 passengers on its two new A350s, shared CEO Ritter.

Jens Ritter further added, “Our passengers are very enthusiastic. In every class, they love the innovative cabin interior and the new amenity kits. Our business-class guests are especially thrilled: far more than 90 percent are delighted with Allegris. They love the comfort of the seats with the many features such as wireless charging, the welcome drinks, and the special menu cards for the suites. Our crews honestly enjoy being a host in such a beautiful new product, they appreciate the easy managing of the seats and the fine kitchens.”

After talking about the positive, he openly stated that there is still room for improvement with Flynet.

Lufthansa FlyNet® is an internet service provided onboard its aircraft to help passengers stay connected with their friends, family, and colleagues. Further, with Flynet, you can:

  • Send emails with attachments
  • Surf quickly and securely
  • Access your company’s Virtual Private Network (VPN)

Lufthansa is expanding FlyNet® availability on more flights within Europe, as well as to and from North Africa and the Middle East.

CEO wrote on LinkedIn, “In the first weeks, FlyNet has not always been stable on both aircraft. Yet we are working on it! Just this week, we have released a bug fix for FlyNet. It also does take a while for everyone to be as swift with a new product as before. That’s why we also offer “fly alongs”: product experts who can help if questions arise.”

“Fly Alongs” Experts

Lufthansa CEO further wrote, “In the first few weeks they were actually on board, now they are always available via chat.”

“We have also established a ‘fast response team’ that accompanies every crew to their briefing and receive them when they come back – just in case anything didn’t go quite as planned. Because there might be unpredictable things, but of course, we want to get rid of them as quickly as possible, ” added Mr. Ritter.

Lufthansa’s New First Class will be a game changer and is scheduled to launch this fall. CEO shared some highlights and wrote:

The secret star is our premium economy – no wonder, just 20 years ago that would have been a business class. And just in case you are about to say: ‘With this business class there’s no reason to book first class.’ Well, just wait until you see our first class! Coming this fall!

Well, along with Toronto and Vancouver, the airline will deploy its new A350s with Allegris to San Francisco (SFO), Shanghai (PVG), Bangalore (BLR), Cape Town (CPT), Johannesburg (JNB) and Seattle (SEA).

Recently, the European Union (EU) gave green light to Lufthansa-ITA Airways 41% stake buyout deal. This will strengthen the Lufthansa Group’s long-haul connectivity.
