The newly painted aircraft, Airbus A320neo is registered as D-AIJI and is one year and four months old. Pratt and Whitney PW1000G engines power the aircraft.

However, the inaugural flight will be operated by Airbus A319 sporting the distinctive livery of the new “City Airlines.”

City Airlines is set to bolster its fleet with 40 new Airbus A220-300s, marking a strategic move by the Lufthansa Group to enhance its feeder flight services. The decision, finalized on December 19, 2023, also includes an option for the acquisition of an additional 20 A220s.
