Oman Air Expands Fleet with 10th Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner

MUSCAT- Oman Air acquired its newest Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, the first of three expected in 2024. This delivery marks the 10th Dreamliner in Oman Air’s fleet, with eight more planned by 2027.

The Boeing 787-9 boasts cutting-edge design, superior fuel efficiency, and spacious cabins with large windows for optimal passenger comfort. The aircraft landed in Muscat on Friday after departing from Boeing’s Seattle facility.

Oman Air Expands Dreamliner Fleet

Oman Air welcomes its new Boeing 787-9, aligning with its strategy for a modern, common fleet.

This addition enhances operational efficiency, reduces maintenance costs, and ensures consistent guest experiences. CEO Con Korfiatis states the aircraft supports the airline’s financial sustainability goals and Oman’s tourism ambitions.

The new Dreamliner features 30 Business Class and 258 Economy seats, serving Oman Air’s destination network. Oman Air’s cabin design and service have earned recent accolades, including Best Seat Comfort in the Middle East and Best Airline Staff Middle East.

Codeshare Partnership with Qatar Airways

Oman Air also expands its codeshare with Qatar Airways in late August 2024. The partnership now covers 9 additional Qatar Airways routes.

Oman Air operated by Qatar Airways offers flights from Doha to Addis Ababa, Bahrain, Dhaka, Dar es Salaam, Kilimanjaro, Lusaka, Moscow Sheremetyevo, Nairobi, and Trabzon.
