Qatar Airways Resume New Year-Round Flight to Lisbon, Portugal

DOHA- Flag carrier Qatar Airways (QR) is delighted to announce the return of its non-stop flights between its acclaimed hub, Hamad International Airport (DOH), Doha, and Lisbon’s Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS).

In response to the high seasonal demand for this sought-after travel destination, Qatar Airways will now operate to Lisbon year-round, offering six weekly flights during the summer of 2024.

Qatar Airways Lisbon Flight

Thierry Antinori, Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer, expressed his excitement, stating:

“As we continue expanding our network in the European market, we are pleased to welcome Lisbon back into our global network of over 170 destinations. This addition reaffirms our commitment to connecting people and places, making international travel more accessible and convenient across our extensive global network.”

With its picturesque beaches, vibrant cosmopolitan cities, and numerous UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Lisbon serves as an ideal gateway for travelers eager to discover the rich tourism and cultural offerings of Portugal.

As the newest inclusion in Qatar Airways’ extensive global network, which spans over 170 destinations, the relaunched route marks the airline’s 47th destination in Europe.

Qatar Airways Flight QR341 from Doha to Lisbon is operated by Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft.

Lisbon serves as a new gateway for international travel from Europe to regions such as the Middle East, Africa, and the Indian subcontinent.

Among the top destinations for travelers departing from Lisbon are Bali, Bangkok, Delhi, Denpasar, Kathmandu, and Male.

Earlier this month, a Doha-based airline launched a new gateway in Africa, connecting the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) with Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

Further, the inaugural flight from Doha to Kinshasa (FIH) landed at N’djili International Airport on Saturday, 1 June 2024, increasing the airline’s total number of African destinations to 29.
