Qatar Airways to Deploy 3 Boeing 777 with Starlink Wi-Fi

DOHA- Qatar Airways (QR), a renowned award-winning airline, has introduced Starlink’s cutting-edge high-speed, low-latency Wi-Fi on three of its Boeing 777-300 aircraft by the end of this year.

This marks the initial phase of their rollout strategy, reinforcing the airline’s commitment to enhancing the onboard passenger experience. Over the next two years, Qatar Airways plans to extend SpaceX-powered technology across its entire modern fleet.

The announcement was made during the Aircraft Interior Expo in Hamburg, Germany, attended by Qatar Airways Group CEO, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, and Mike Nicolls, Vice President of Starlink Engineering at SpaceX.

With ultra-high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity of up to 500 megabits per second per plane, passengers can enjoy a seamless ‘one-click-access’ to a range of internet-based services, including video streaming, online gaming, enriched web browsing, and more.
