Akasa Air to Launch New Flight from Mumbai to Jeddah

MUMBAI- Akasa Air (QP), the youngest Indian carrier, is all set to launch new daily flights between Mumbai and Jeddah starting on 15 July.

This move marks Akasa Air’s incursion into Saudi Arabia, with Jeddah being the second destination on its route map, reported JetArena, an Indian news page.

Akasa Air Mumbai to Jeddah Flight

For travelers looking to explore the vibrant city of Jeddah or visit the holy sites in Saudi Arabia, Akasa Air’s new flights offer a convenient and reliable option.

The airline will initially operate two daily flights between Mumbai and Jeddah, with the frequency set to increase to 12X weekly from 21 July onwards.

The flight timings have been carefully scheduled to ensure maximum convenience for passengers.

The flight QP561 from Mumbai to Jeddah will depart at 19:35 and arrive at 22:25 local time. On the return journey, flight QP562 will depart from Jeddah at 23:55 and arrive in Mumbai at 07:25 the next day.

One daily and 5X Weekly Flights

In addition to the daily flights, Akasa Air will also operate QP559/560 on a 5X weekly basis, with exceptions on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Akasa Air flight QP559 departs from Mumbai (BOM) at 17:40 and arrives in Jeddah (JED) at 20:30. Conversely, flight QP560 departs from Jeddah at 21:30 and arrives in Mumbai at 05:10 the following day.

This expanded flight schedule aims to cater to the growing demand for travel between Mumbai and Jeddah and provide more flexibility to passengers.

Since March 28, 2024, Akasa Air has operated four non-stop flights weekly, linking Mumbai (BOM) to  Doha and thereby enhancing air connectivity between Qatar and India. Flight bookings with return fares start at INR 29,012.

The introduction of additional direct and convenient travel options is anticipated to bolster trade and tourism between the two nations.

The commencement of operations in Qatar aligns with the objectives outlined in Qatar Tourism’s 2030 strategy, aiming to position the country as the fastest-growing tourism destination in the Middle East by 2030.
