Executive Remarks

“Porter Airlines is offering passengers a level of economy service unmatched by any other carrier serving Toronto, providing passengers with increased options from both airports serving the Greater Toronto area,” remarked Kevin Jackson, President of Porter Airlines.

“Only last February, Porter commenced operations from Toronto-Pearson, and the fact that we have now grown to become the third-largest carrier this summer underscores the appeal of our style of economy travel. Once passengers experience our service, we observe them choosing to fly with us again, often to a greater variety of destinations. We are committed to expanding the number of destinations served as we receive additional Embraer E195 aircraft.”

Passengers can access European cities such as London, Paris, and Amsterdam through Toronto-Pearson via Porter’s partnership with Air Transat.

“Porter’s remarkable growth over the past two years has been remarkable,” commented Kurush Minocher, Executive Director of Customer Experience and Airline Relationships at the Greater Toronto Airports Authority.

“They have rapidly established their hub in Toronto, providing extensive domestic connectivity and gearing up for their inaugural summer season on select US routes. We congratulate Porter on their achievements and eagerly anticipate their ongoing expansion, including here at Toronto Pearson.”
