The airline’s festive fleet takes center stage with specially decorated aircraft that capture the holiday spirit. The QantasLink Q400 ‘Dasher-8’ and Boeing 737 ‘Roo-dolph’ will traverse Australian skies, adorned in Christmas-themed livery that promises to spark joy among travelers.

Passengers flying these aircraft during December will receive a special bonus: double loyalty points, adding extra cheer to their travel experience.

Qantas is not stopping at aircraft decoration. The airline has also introduced a comprehensive suite of upgrades targeting customer satisfaction. New seasonal international first and business-class inflight menus have been developed, complemented by a refreshed First lounge menu and an updated beer selection across the network.

A standout addition to the holiday logistics is the Qantas Freight A321 aircraft, christened ‘Santa’s Freight’, which will play a crucial role in transporting thousands of presents and festive goods across the nation.

Catriona Larritt, Qantas Group’s Chief Customer and Digital Officer, highlighted the airline’s focus on customer delight, particularly for younger travelers.

We know our customers, especially the youngest ones, love flying on our special festive aircraft and so we are delighted they are making a return in 2024.”

Qantas Unveils New Menu

Qantas is revolutionizing its inflight and lounge dining experience with a comprehensive menu overhaul designed by Creative Director of Food, Beverage, and Service Neil Perry.

The new seasonal menus showcase premium Australian producers, featuring exceptional ingredients like Margra Lamb, Glacier 51 Toothfish, Wollemi Duck, Coppertree Farms Butter, and Skull Island King Prawns.

The airline has completely transformed its beer selection across lounges and in-flight services. Qantas lounges now stock an innovative local independent beer range that celebrates regional breweries.

Sydney travelers will enjoy Hawke’s lager, Brisbane passengers can savor Straddie Amity Pale Ale, Canberra will have Bentspoke Crankshaft IPA, Perth passengers can select Gage Roads Single Fin Summer Ale, and Melbourne travelers can try Stomping Ground Big Sky Hazy.

Complementing these new offerings, customer favorites Stone and Wood and Cooper’s Pale Ale remain available inflight and in lounges.

Qantas is also expanding its inflight cocktail program with two distinctive new offerings. The airline has developed an exclusive onboard Bloody Mary mixture and partnered with Curatif to create the Qantas Aviation Spritz. This unique cocktail combines Four Pillars Rare Dry Gin and Regal Rogue Daring Dry, providing an innovative twist on the classic cocktail. The Qantas Aviation Spritz will be served across international economy and premium economy cabins.

In the lead-up to Christmas, Qantas will serve traditional festive fare across selected domestic and international lounges. The offering includes a signature Christmas cocktail, forming part of the airline’s broader strategy to enhance customer experience during the holiday season.

Additional airport activations and surprise customer gifts are planned, with more details to be revealed in the coming weeks.
