Vistara Flight Bomb Threat

Vistara alerted relevant authorities and is cooperating with security agencies for mandatory checks. The airline prioritizes the safety and security of customers, crew, and aircraft.

If security checks reveal a hoax, the flight will continue to Frankfurt.

A senior pilot suggests conducting a handwriting analysis to identify the source of the security concern.

The pilot notes that such diversions inconvenience passengers, incur significant costs for airlines, and disrupt flight schedules.

Aviation experts on X reported the Vistara Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner emitted a “7700 Squawk” signal. This universal transponder code indicates an aircraft emergency.

The 7700 code alerts Air Traffic Control (ATC) of situations requiring immediate attention. It enables rapid communication between aircraft and ground control during emergencies.
